LOGISTICS & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Kangaroo Plastics is a vibrant and growing manufacturing company of recyclable plastics.  We are an Australian owned business focused on generating environmental, economic and social benefits through waste recycling and re-processing of plastic recyclables.

We are looking for a dedicated, energetic and experienced Logistics and administration officer to join our Campbellfield team on a full time basis.

Bring your flexible, Can-Do attitude to work every day and enjoy being part of an amazing team. As well as having experience in a similar role, some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process documents efficiently and promptly ensure they are correct
  • Liaise with shipping lines, suppliers, clients, various transport bodies
  • Serve visitors at counter
  • Take appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
  • Responsible for processing import and export documentation - sea
  • Responsible for booking cargo with shipping lines and consolidators
  • Generate weekly/ Monthly reports and conciliate delivery dockets
  • Take responsibility for documenting Document Change Requests
  • To take on other duties as may be specified by management
  • Deal with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the shipping and accounts, checking and cross checking product weight and invoicing
  • Checking document details are correct before asking for payment authorization
  • Liaise with overseas offices and agents regarding paperwork and charges, specifically freight charges
  • To liaise with Shipping Lines regarding rates, receivals and container releases
  • Input all shipments, costs and charges in operations systems, and check all original documents.
  • Creating Purchase Orders and follow ups on created invoices
  • Answering calls, enquiries over the phone

What You Need

We will help you be successful in this role. To start you will need:

  • Minimum 1 years experience in similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Drivers licence
  • Speaking Chinese an advantage, but not essential
