  • Salary: $100,000–$110,000pa + 12% superannuation
  • 12 Month Contract

Bayside Council is seeking a pragmatic and capable HR Business Partner to join our collaborative People & Culture team. This is a hands-on, generalist role with exposure to workplace relations, employee lifecycle, and strategic HR initiatives. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of corporate services Directorate, supporting leaders and employees in delivering fair, compliant, and people-focused outcomes.

Your Role -
As an HR Business Partner, you'll:

  • Provide generalist HR support across the entire life cycle of HR – coaching of stakeholders in HR/E/IR matters, performance, and development.
  • Support leaders in applying council policies, procedures, and industrial instruments to their operations and strategy.
  • Assist in managing workplace relations matters including performance issues, workplace investigations, and award interpretation.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to be their trusted advisor and build high performing teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Broad experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of the NSW Industrial Relations Act 1996, WHS Act 2011 (NSW), and LG State Award 2023.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver practical, people-centred solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field.
