Engineer – Water Program Delivery

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Engineer – Water Program Delivery to contribute to Council's success.

• Permanent Full Time, 9-day fortnight

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide hydraulic engineering advice and input into the effective and efficient provision of the Water and Wastewater networks through innovative operational and maintenance support, in line with our customer expectations.

You will bring:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering discipline) and relevant experience.
• Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation and eligibility for membership of Institute of Engineers Australia.
• Experience in network modelling, demand management and network operations.
• Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills including high-level report writing skills.
• Experience communicating and negotiating successful outcomes with service authorities, consulting engineers, contractors and senior management.
• Knowledge of and experience using water modelling packages, Microsoft Office Suite and corporate business systems.
• Knowledge of planning, design, operation and maintenance of water and sewerage infrastructure facilities in line with the Water Supply (Safety and reliability) Act and regulation.
• Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
