Southside Racing operates high-class horse racing and training facilities at both Tynong and Cranbourne, as well as three, 7-day-a-week hospitality and entertainment venues - the Cardinia Club, Club Officer and Silks Cranbourne. These are a vital part of our business and allow us to provide our members with a wide range of hospitality and entertainment options.

The opportunity

Southside Racing is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to assume the role of Facilities Cleaner at our Cranbourne. Reporting to the Facilities Team Lead, the role of Facilities Cleaner will be to work to contribute to the performance of our Events and Hospitality and be key contributor to our success.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across all areas of the Racing Centre including grandstands, offices, public lawns, and car parks.
• Prepare and clean Raceday facilities such as Jockeys Room, Scales, Amenity blocks, and public areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, window cleaning, cobweb removal, and hygiene checks.
• Set up rooms for events based on layout plans.
• Support routine maintenance and venue lock-up procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and use of PPE.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and complete cleaning schedules.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and venue presentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Full driver's licence.
• Previous experience in commercial cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe working practices.
• Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving items (5–7kg).
