Disability Support Worker

We are looking for an honest and reliable Active Night DSW, who has previous experience with Active Nights & Complex Care.

This role is supporting a lovely 43yr old gentleman who lives in his own home, and requires repositioning during the night due to Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. You will also be required to monitor & manage temperatures, and airways due to Sialorrhea, Dysphagia and GORD.

This is a 1:1 position, and you must be physically fit. Close attention to detail is required, as well as being able to follow instructions, be a good communicator, and be able to learn and take on board constructive feedback.

Experience in manual handling, SPC care, PEG management, and pressure care, is desirable. However we are willing to train if you have a positive, proactive, can-do attitude, with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for others.

We require someone who is honest, has a gentle touch, genuinely caring nature, and is aware of the NDIS & Disability Service Standards, and implements high standards of care.

You will be working within a small and friendly team of dedicated carers, operating in a Person Centred , Active Support model, and have opportunities for professional development & training.

This is a long term position for the right candidate.

This position requires full Australian working rights.
