Job Description Summary
We have an opportunity for an Integration Support Engineer who will be responsible for the successful deployment, configuration and integration of multiple BD proprietary software and integrated solutions into the hospital and retail pharmacy environment.
Working closely with the extended integration team focusing on the development, implementation, configuration, interfacing and testing of multiple BD proprietary software and integrated solutions to 3rd party information systems whilst providing Level 1 and 2 remote software, technical, integration support and ad-hoc duties as required.
This is a 24-month fixed term contract position, based out of our head office in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration of BD proprietary software and solutions, deployment, configuration, maintenance and support, including but not limited to SQL database/server administration, network configuration, and general software and integration/ interfacing support.
- Manage installation and support of interface software (VM's, MSI's and/or turnkey solutions) for interfacing products to meet established project delivery timelines.
- Providing Level 1 and Level 2 remote or phone support related to interface software, database, integration, and robotic system software issues.
- Liaising with a range of key stakeholders on all technical aspects within projects and any form of support.
- Working in collaboration with the broader team as well as the project management to achieve and meet target deliverables as well as determining priorities and risks associated to specific projects.
- Defining and documenting IT infrastructure requirements for new and existing customers.
- Working in collaboration with customer's IT and other 3rd party vendors in configuring and/ or troubleshooting related network, software, and system issues.
- Working collaboratively with related team as required to ensure any assigned project scope are completed delivered on time.
- Documentation of new and existing integration and solutions, backup of configuration, drive mappings and/or other scripted solutions to corporate portal to allow disaster recovery for each site.
- End user training of BD proprietary software during onboarding and on an ad hoc basis as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Experienced in HL7 standards and interfacing (Essential)
- Healthcare IT experience.
- Prior experience in IT related field (Windows, Database, Server, Networking Administration, server-based solutions, databases, and VM's)
- Prior experience with deployment and administration of ICT systems, including software, hardware, server, VMs, networking and cloud technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral), build positive relationships and trust with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrable experience working in integration and system/ software development industry.
- Good organisational, coordination, and planning skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions.
- Experience in producing and reviewing technical documentation.
- A passion for Customer Service Excellence – professional customer service skills with the different levels of integration and IT services in an organisation.
- Professional, proactive, and self-motivated, with a drive for excellence.
- Results driven, responsible and accountable.
- Ability to create and review detailed IT specifications and present them to a broader audience (technical and non-technical).
- Ability to take on and complete tasks with minimal guidance and be self-motivated.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to effectively resolve any problems that may arise to maintain and meet project timelines or support of customers.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally with short notice as required.
- Current drivers' license and passport.
Desirable
- Experienced with software integration engineering and large-scale integration projects.
- Prior experience in technical support, especially software support.
- SQL, windows batch file scripting
