Android Mobile Engineer We are supporting a large scale mobile delivery operation launching early next year and are seeking Android Mobile Engineers at mid level, senior, and lead or tech lead level to play a key role in delivery across Android platforms.

This is an opportunity to work on a high volume mobile product where performance, reliability, and user experience are critical. You will contribute to new feature development, platform improvements, and technical direction, working closely with product, design, and engineering teams in a collaborative, delivery focused environment.

Technical capability - Android You bring strong experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin and enjoy working with modern Android frameworks and patterns. You care about code quality, performance, and building platforms that scale.

  • Strong experience developing native Android applications using Kotlin
  • Experience working with Jetpack Compose
  • Strong understanding of Coroutines and Flow
  • Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing, including JUnit and Espresso
  • Familiarity with scalable mobile architectures
  • Solid understanding of Play Store compliance, publishing processes, and release automation

Cross platform experience (desirable)

  • Experience working with or alongside React Native codebases

Scope of work You will be involved across the full Android delivery lifecycle, with real scope to influence how the platform continues to evolve.

  • Feature development and bug fixing across a large scale Android platform
  • Native mobile performance optimisation
  • Applying DevSecOps practices within mobile delivery pipelines
  • Supporting release management and deployment processes
  • Ensuring accessibility compliance across mobile experiences
  • Collaborating closely with design and engineering teams
  • Contributing to quality engineering with a strong focus on automated testing
