Senior Exploration Geologist

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to effectively explore and add value to the Company's projects in line with the Company's strategic objectives and values. This includes supporting the planning and execution of exploration programs, safely overseeing field activities, and supervising both Yandal team members and external contractors. The role will be site-based with visits to the Perth office as required. FIFO from Perth, flexible rosters either 13/8 or 12/9. 

The position will include but not be limited to:

• Achieve and maintain a high standard of safety performance and compliance with the WHS (Mines) Act and Regulations.
• Develop and execute exploration strategies that add value to Yandal's project portfolio.
• Design, budget, and manage field programs (mapping, soils, AC, RC, DD) to a high standard.
• Obtain and manage all necessary approvals (heritage, PoW, environmental).
• Maintain high standards of database integrity and QAQC control.
• Prepare technical reports, statutory submissions, and inputs for ASX/web/conference materials.
• Actively contribute to geological interpretation and targeting across the Yandal Greenstone Belt.
• Supervise and mentor field staff and junior geologists.
• Liaise professionally with contractors, landholders, and Traditional Owner groups.
• Represent Yandal's core values and foster a collaborative, safety-driven culture.

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary degree in Geology (Honours preferred)
• Current C-class manual driver's licence
• Senior First Aid certificate
• Defensive 4WD course desirable
• 8–12+ years' exploration experience in WA orogenic/greenstone-hosted gold systems
• Demonstrated experience leading small to medium exploration teams
• Strong knowledge of drill rig operations, sampling, QAQC, and field procedures
• Experienced in designing and implementing remote exploration programs
• Sound computing and software literacy (MS Office, Micromine, QGIS, ioGAS)
• Familiar with WA regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
