Position summary

The incumbent needs to have the ability to effectively communicate. They must maintain adherence to processes that are aligned with Zoetis's policies and procedures. They are responsible for following housekeeping principles to ensure clean, orderly, efficient, well-presented, and safe warehouse environments at Zoetis Parkville. The warehouse operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations ensuring the on-time supply of materials to the Zoetis site.

Key responsibilities:

Meet Environment Health and Safety requirements by adhering to safe operations through:

  • Attendance at scheduled training sessions
  • Awareness training
  • Assistance with safety audits
  • Maintain correct manual handling techniques when performing warehouse activities
  • Timely hazard reporting
  • Accident and incident reporting
  • Housekeeping of work areas

Maintain Zoetis warehouse via the following:

  • Conduct warehouse activities operations including material receival, staging, storage, issuance, expiry, disposal, and inventory accuracy in line with Zoetis procedures.
  • Ensure all materials are correctly labelled at all times
  • Printing of picking slips
  • Ensure each order is accurately picked and delivered to the required location
  • Identify any damaged or unsafe goods and escalate to management
  • Support and participate in regular stock takes and inventory management processes such as cycle counting to ensure only current and within expiry materials are located within the Zoetis warehouse locations.
  • Understand and remain compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and other guidelines as they relate to warehousing.
  • Support dispatch activities
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives.

Meet Quality and GMP requirements by:

  • Adherence to GMP compliance and Site Quality Management Systems
  • Manage ongoing regulatory compliance, assist in facilitation of regulatory audits and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintaining work areas to acceptable standards

Education and experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Certificate in Warehouse and Distribution (desirable but not essential)
  • Forklift license or the ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of supply chain processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, APVMA, TGA and DAFF
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving.
  • Double vaccinated with Covid – 19
