About the role

Bishops Barristers & Solicitors are seeking a full-time Legal Personal Assistant to join their team in Launceston.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing comprehensive diary and file management
  2. Client liaison, handling all incoming calls, emails and correspondence in a professional and efficient manner
  3. Preparing and proofreading legal documents, contracts and correspondence
  4. Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems
  5. Time recording and billing

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Legal Secretary, ideally within a law firm
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience using legal-specific software
  4. Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  5. A professional, discreet and confidential approach to sensitive information
  6. A genuine interest in the legal industry and a desire to contribute to the success of the firm
