QinetiQ is looking for an
Australian Security Vetting Officer (ASVO)
to join our team. This role is key to supporting our Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations and helping us move from DISP Level 2 to Level 3 for Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Governance.

This role will also support and manage security clearance processes across the business and ensure we meet all DISP and AGSVA requirements. We are looking for someone who can work independently, has a strong understanding of security vetting, and is confident in maintaining compliance with government security frameworks.

This is a Max Term Opportunity until end of June 2026.

Your Day To Day Role Will Entail

  • Delivering and maintaining security vetting governance, policies, and processes.
  • Supporting the DISP uplift program from Level 2 to Level 3.
  • Ensuring QinetiQ maintains compliance with DISP and AGSVA requirements.
  • Managing security registers, compliance reporting and assurance activities.
  • Providing security vetting advice to projects and functional teams.
  • Working with Talent Acquisition to manage staff security clearances.
  • Supporting wider security reporting, training and culture activities.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • A strong knowledge of AGSVA processes and requirements.
  • Experience with government security frameworks such as:

  • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

  • Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
  • Australian Privacy Principles

  • The ability to work independently and manage both simple and complex tasks.

  • Clear and confident communication skills.

Security clearance (NV2 minimum) or eligibility to obtain is essential.
