ABOUT THE POSITION.

You will be supporting 8 General Practitioners in the daily delivery of patient care and chronic disease management, reporting directly to the Practice Manager and Clinical director.

You will be working independently to help patients within our nursing team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support and assistance to GPs and other staff in relation to general nursing duties
  • Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers, planning & management of patient care and patient advocacy.
  • Conduct preventative/screening procedures;
  • Manage the clinical environment of the medical centre
  • Responsible for the Cold Chain Management
  • Maintain stocks of clinical supplies
  • Responsible for Infection Control processes
  • Responsible for Sterilisation for the practice
  • Ensuring continual improvement of customer service
  • Wound care services for patients
  • Immunisations
  • Detailed documentation
  • Maintain a recall and reminder system

The applicant will be required to work independently within the team, work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate commitment to working hard.

  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and friendly manner
  • Professional appearance and demeanour
  • Ability to work both independently with initiative and as a team member
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Current Australian Drivers licence and own car

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree &  relevant General Practice experience
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Experience with care plans and assessments
  • Current immunisation experience with an immunisation certificate
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • National Police Check & Working with Children's Check
