We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Division 1 or Division 2 Nurse to join our friendly team of Doctors, Nurses and Medical Receptionists at our General Practice.

We are seeking a Nurse to a work full time rotating roster including alternate Saturdays.

Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Clinical risk management
  • Clinical duties within required level of clinical competency
  • Patient services
  • Improvement of patient health outcomes
  • Equipment maintenance and ordering medical supplies
  • Awareness of current and new legislation and ensuring relevant personnel are kept informed.
  • Awareness of OHS requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

Essential:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration certificates.
  • Professional indemnity cover.
  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience, in General Practice.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in community-based nursing, including patient education and health promotion.
  • Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, Diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and drugs.
  • 100% commitment to the company and team members
  • Bubbly, energetic and diligent personality
  • Ability to work within a vibrant, caring and down to earth team
  • Build rapport with patients and put them at ease
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Competency with Best Practice
  • Experience in a similar role as practice nurse or community-based nursing.
  • Up to date immunisation certificates.
  • Experience in Medicare item numbers.
  • Member of APHRA.
