The team
The Digital, Data & Technology Group drives transformational change at ASIC by investing in people, processes, and technology. It unites digital, data, and tech teams—supported by the enterprise program office—to modernize core systems and services. The portfolio includes Registry Interactions Services, Modernising Business Registers, and the Registry Technology team, which sits within the Transformation Office and leads ASIC's digital and data platform strategy.
The role
As an Oracle Infrastructure Engineer, you will contribute to the work of IT team by maintaining the Oracle database software currency through managing regular patching and resolution of issues.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Maintain Oracle database software currency - managing regular patching and resolution of issues.
- Support Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) stacks.
- Monitor and report on database performance and capacity.
- Ensure IAM systems run efficiently through daily checks and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to design database solutions.
- Manage and escalate support requests as needed.
- Support IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects.
About you
A successful applicant should possess many or all of the following:
- More Degree or qualifications in IT preferred.
- 5+ years with Oracle systems, databases, and IAM stacks.
- Strong grasp of ISM/Essential8 security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle platform operations.
- Knowledge of database security tools and practices.
- Sharp problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communicator and team player.
- Self-driven with multitasking ability.
