About the Role
CCIWA are seeking a
Director, Member Experience
to join our leadership team. In this role, you will drive growth, engagement, and brand elevation across CCIWA's membership, marketing, and events portfolios. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to significantly grow membership, enhance member value, and deliver a modern, high-impact member experience aligned with the organisation's strategic plan.
The Director will lead initiatives to define and embed a strong member value proposition, including oversight of key projects such as the Member Value Proposition Project, and drives innovation across platforms, content, and events to boost engagement and commercial outcomes. Working collaboratively with multiple business units, the role supports marketing, strategy development, major advocacy campaigns, and content creation, contributing to the organisation's overall innovation and strategic success.
This is a
full-time, permanent
position that will be based in the Perth CBD office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership
: provide strategic leadership across Membership, Marketing, and Events to deliver on CCIWA's strategic plan, driving initiatives that define and embed a compelling member value proposition while enhancing member experience through marketing, content, and events. Champions a member-centric culture, strengthens CCIWA's brand and market presence, and collaborates with the CEO and Leadership Team to shape organisational strategy and influence key cross-functional initiatives. - Member Engagement
: set the strategic direction for member acquisition, retention, and engagement across the entire member lifecycle, leading initiatives to enhance the journey from onboarding to renewal. Drive continuous improvement through data and feedback analysis, fosters collaboration across teams, and champions a strong culture of member-centricity throughout the organisation. - Marketing & Content
: oversee CCIWA's brand and content strategy to ensure a consistent and compelling articulation of its value proposition across all channels. Leads integrated marketing campaigns, manages content development and production, and uses performance insights to drive continuous improvement and alignment with member needs. - Events
: provide strategic oversight of CCIWA's events program to ensure alignment with organisational goals, member value, and professional standards while leading the planning and delivery of a diverse range of events. Drive innovation in event design and delivery, oversees content and speaker engagement, monitors performance and feedback for continuous improvement, and supports the events team in achieving excellence and measurable impact. - Media Engagement
: represents CCIWA as a spokesperson on member-related matters, engaging in media and public forums while supporting the CEO and Policy team to amplify the organisation's external voice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven leadership experience in marketing, content, and/or events within a membership or service-based organisation.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a member-centric mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
- Experience in digital marketing, brand development, and event innovation.
- Experience in media engagement, public speaking, or stakeholder representation desirable.
- Financial acumen and ability to quantify ROI of marketing and engagement initiatives.
