About the role

As Digital Business Systems Lead, you will shape and oversee the core enterprise systems that power Ipswich City Council, including Oracle Fusion, Oracle OIC, Workday and Infor Pathway.

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of Council's digital transformation agenda, responsible for ensuring our major platforms are secure, scalable and aligned to business outcomes.

You'll work across both technical and business domains to modernise systems, streamline operations, and drive innovation in how Council delivers services to the community. This is your opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role with real strategic influence.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a skilled, forward-thinking team managing critical enterprise platforms
  • Drive continuous improvement across upgrades, integrations and service delivery
  • Shape system strategy to align with evolving business priorities and citizen needs
  • Partner with vendors and stakeholders to deliver stable, future-ready platforms
  • Promote excellence in system architecture, data integrity and user experience

You'll be joining a collaborative and future-focused Digital Services team, working closely with leaders across Council to ensure our core platforms continue to evolve in step with organisational needs.

About you

You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in enterprise platforms and a proven ability to lead systems teams in complex, fast-moving environments. You bring clarity to complexity, enjoy solving problems that span both technical and business domains, and know how to get the best out of people and platforms alike.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT, business systems, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience managing and optimising major ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Oracle OIC, Workday, SAP or similar
  • A strong track record of aligning enterprise systems to organisational goals and service priorities
  • Demonstrated success leading system upgrades, integrations and platform enhancements in complex environments
  • Sound understanding of enterprise architecture, integration methods, and data governance principles
  • A collaborative leadership style that builds team capability, supports continuous learning and promotes technical excellence

About the benefits

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $133,727 plus 12.5% superannuation.
