Overview Senior Software Engineer (Typescript/Node/React/AWS)
2025 is all about growth here at Squiz. The Squiz product team is delivering a cloud-based Digital Experience Platform (DXP) with core capabilities including Content Management, Optimisation tooling, and Platform services. We are seeking Senior Fullstack Software Engineers (backend leaning) to join our product engineering team on a permanent basis, with a focus on improving capability across various parts of the DXP. There are also opportunities to work with AI in this space.
Location: We are location-flexible. This role is open to candidates on the east coast of Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane). This role is hybrid, allowing you to work where and when works best for you.

Responsibilities Work within a team of 3-5 software engineers to build the Digital Experience Platform (team includes a Team Lead and 3-4 engineers at different levels).
Develop and enhance robust application code that meets technical requirements.
Collaborate with team members to generate User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and estimates.
Provide guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with senior engineers.
Write and maintain software documentation.
Assist Team Leads and Engineering Managers to create and deliver technical roadmaps.
Lead best practices in software development, code quality, and architecture across our stack (Node, TypeScript, React, AWS, Cloudflare, GitLab CI/CD).
Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of professional hands-on software development experience with large-scale products.
Full-stack development proficiency with web languages/frameworks (Node, TypeScript, React) and cloud platforms such as AWS.
Strong understanding of testing principles and strategies to improve software quality and robustness.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred; Kanban also used by some teams).
Strong understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP).
Experience mentoring junior and mid-level software engineers.
