What you will do as
an Analyst
We are looking for a team-oriented person to contribute to the AER's purpose to make all energy consumers better off. This position supports multiple projects, as we deliver determinations for a range of electricity transmission determinations and gas access arrangements.
The Analyst, Reset Coordination provides a pivotal role coordinating the AER's reset work program, including providing secretariat support to the AER's Networks Committee and the Consumer within the context of an evolving energy environment.
The Analyst, Reset Coordination reports to the Executive Director, Reset Coordination and Strategy and works under broad supervision of Directors to support the Reset Coordination Strategy team.
As The Analyst, You Will
- Provide secretariat support to the Network Committee and Consumer Challenge Panel, to advance the AER's reset work program.
- Maintaining constructive working relationships with team members and working collaboratively with other teams in relation to the delivery of AER network regulatory determinations, and other reviews and reports.
- Provide support to revenue determination and contingent project processes, as required, including undertaking compliance check of regulatory proposals/access arrangements, assisting in web publishing, coordinating public forums, and providing quality assurance on AER documents.
- Coordinate the Reset Coordination and Strategy Team Charter, including document control of internal operation procedures and template, monitoring and reporting on the team master plan and risk and issues register, coordinating and supporting executive briefs, coordinating regular catchups with Legal Service and Communication and supporting reporting on AER Business plan.
- Monitor the Reset Coordination and Strategy inbox and calendar, including responding to or triaging emails with relevant team member and coordinating team and other meetings.
About You
All candidates are expected to meet the APS Integrated Leadership Profile (ILS) for the classification advertised. Follow the link for more information on the ILS. This role in particular requires:
- A general understanding, or ability to quickly acquire this understanding, of Australian energy sector and the role, purpose and objectives of the AER.
Ability to:
coordinate and administer meetings including updating forward agenda, monitoring action items, preparation of the agenda and member packs and preparation of the meeting minutes.
- support teams to undertake compliance check of regulatory proposals/access arrangements, assist in web publishing, coordinate public forums, and provide quality assurance on AER documents for publication.
- research, investigate and analyse issues, to identify industry trends, and/or analyse policy issues.
- write a range of documents tailored to meet audience needs.
- plan, organise and prioritise workloads, and deliver tasks on time, and to a high quality.
- Professional qualifications in business, project management or economics or related fields
- Knowledge and experience of MS Office, and data manipulation techniques.
