Bundy Social Club and Sandhills Sports Club are recruiting, we are looking for two full-time Chefs or Cooks.

Bundy Social is located in the center of Bundaberg at 2 Toonburra Street on the river.

The Club owns a brand-new building at Bargara by the sea called Sandhills Sports Club.

Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery preferred and/or up to 5 years experience in an a-la-carte kitchen cooking position.

Salary is $77,000 excluding superannuation at statutory requirements. The position is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week plus reasonable overtime.

Duties include but are not limited to

  • assisting other Chefs in all areas of food planning and preparation, organising, cooking and presentation of menu items to establishment standards
  • assisting other chefs in costing and ordering of stock
  • preparation and delivery of large functions
  • attention to detail in plating food and following dietary requirements as required
  • exceptional knife skills and food and hygiene practices
  • assisting in compiling and costing of menus
  • must be able to work unsupervised and in a team environment
