About The Aurecon Water Team
We are a passionate team of around 300 professionals across Australia and New Zealand who are somewhat obsessed about water and the positive impact it has on society and the environment. We collaborate with clients and communities across the Tasman to connect and sustain water access and quality for all. We are problem solvers who want to make a difference for future generations. We're looking for an experienced Technical Director/Technical Leader to join our business and contribute in the following areas:
- Leading, reviewing and verifying engineering designs for multi-disciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects (pipelines, pump stations, treatment plant upgrades, etc.).
- Undertake hydraulic calculations/analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations. Experience with WaterGems and Hammer preferred
- Develop network models
- Facilitating/participating in risk management processes including HAZOP workshops, SiD workshops, risk workshops, etc.
- Understanding of constructability, operations and maintenance requirements for water infrastructure
- Knowledge and ability to apply relevant industry standards (WSA, AS, etc.)
Desired Skills And Experience
- Good communication skills, and ability to develop positive relationships both internally and with clients
- Engineering design experience across whole project lifecycle including options development, detailed design, owners engineer and commissioning.
- Experience in both small and large projects preferred
- Degree or qualification in civil or mechanical engineering
- Chartered Engineer or willingness to become chartered
- Experience working in the water industry, preferably 10+ years
