Advance your accounting career with a growing, values-driven financial services organisation.
About us:
Fiducian Group is an ASX-listed specialist financial services organisation, managing Funds under Advice, Management, and Administration in excess of $13 billion. We believe that integrity, trust, and expertise form the foundation of our organisation, as we strive to build wealth for our clients. Across our various business units, including funds management, financial planning, portfolio administration, information technology, and business services, we ensure that these qualities permeate everything we do.
About the Role:
Join a well established and growing Australian financial services organisation and take the next step in your accounting career with Fiducian.
As a key member of our Funds and Superannuation Accounting team, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Fiducian's financial operations. Working within a collaborative team, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions across both Funds and Superannuation — managing fund accounting processes, monitoring custodian activities, and supporting the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reporting.
This is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month contract with the potential to transition to permanency. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across fund accounting, investment operations, and superannuation reporting within a professional, supportive, and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review daily fund accounting operations, including unit pricing, cash flow management, investment trade processing, and reconciliations.
- Review and sign off on quarterly fund distributions, BAS returns, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with external custodians and internal investment teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and reporting.
- Prepare and review fund financial statements, income tax returns, and related RG97 and GS007 reporting.
- Assist in delivering accurate and compliant superannuation financial statements and quarterly APRA reporting.
- Support monthly and annual tax provision calculations, BAS preparation, and audit coordination.
- Contribute to month-end close activities, including bank and GL reconciliations.
- Participate in continuous process improvement and financial system testing to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
To be successful:
You will bring a solid background in fund accounting, superannuation accounting, or investment administration, with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance roles, with experience in fund accounting or platform operations.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, unit pricing, fund distributions, and investment trade processes.
- Knowledge of superannuation, APRA reporting, and taxation standards advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills and intermediate to advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
At Fiducian, we are proud of our collaborative culture, strong values, and commitment to professional excellence. You will join a team that values integrity, trust, and expertise, and where your contribution makes a genuine impact.
