Role Description/Criteria
Learning Support Officer (Full-Time / Fixed Term Contract)
Hours of work - Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.15pm.
Catholic Regional College North Keilor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Officer to join our team in a full-time contract role. This position involves providing vital support to students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic and inclusive school environment, with the opportunity for the contract to extend beyond the 2025 school year.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support in numeracy, tailored to students with diverse learning needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Facilitate engaging skill-building activities to support students in achieving their learning goals
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and allied professionals to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of student progress
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities to build your capacity, particularly in supporting numeracy development

About You
You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including physical, intellectual, or behavioural challenges
  • A particular strength or interest in supporting students with numeracy development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A genuine passion for promoting both the academic and personal growth of students
