An exceptional opportunity has become available to join Council's Development Services Team, based at Freeling, with significant population growth via the Roseworthy Township Expansion. Located only approximately an hour north of the Adelaide CBD with great connectors such as the Northern Expressway and Gawler Bypass, Light Regional Council is home to a diverse range of development and residential growth opportunities.

As the Graduate Engineer, you will join a small dynamic team of professional staff. The position holds the key responsibilities of providing engineering and technical analysis and advice in support of the Council's development assessment and asset handover functions.

To be successful in this role all applicants will have:

·      Completed a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with sound knowledge of Civil Works, asset & infrastructure management, plus applicable standards for civil engineering and stormwater infrastructure, including culvert and drainage design.

·      Support the Civil Engineer in the development and negotiation of Council owned infrastructure works associated with new development.

·      Provide technical expertise, engineering advice and project management skills to deliver various key projects throughout the LRC area.

·      Assist to develop Council policy and standards for the design and construction of infrastructure and management strategies.

·      Participate in achieving Council's strategic and business objectives

·      Strong attention to detail; and

·      Proven problem-solving skills.
