The Role
We are currently seeking
Rope Access Superintendents
to join our team to assist and undertake planned shutdown, maintenance and project works.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Division Manager with the allocation and utilisation of people, material, machinery, and process of the Rope Access division to meet the client requirements within the timelines and budget
- Assist the planning and resourcing in the early works stage of shutdowns and or project for the team
- Directly oversee rope access teams during work activities, providing guidance and support as needed, and ensuring that work is performed to high quality standards
- Assistance with the completion of IRATA quarterly "work and safety statistics" and incident record
- Must ensure that Rope Access equipment is appropriate for the intended use by assessing suitability as noted in the IRATA's International Code of Practice (ICOP)
- Assist with broadcasting IRATA safety bulletins, updates, and reporting
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to rope access technicians, including troubleshooting technical issues and providing guidance on complex tasks
- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure that rope access work meets industry standards and client specifications
- Assist with the procurement, purchasing and transporting of various pieces of site equipment needed for the rope access team on site are according to applicable rules and regulations
- Ensure effective management of sub-contractors, such that effective relationships are built, performance is monitored & goods and services are delivered to the required standard, on time and within budget
- Regularly communicate with the rope access Manager and provide weekly reports, updates, and feedback with regards to the team's activities
- Advise the relevant Manager immediately of any safety or environmental, community or industrial relations incidents as per approved Company policy and procedures
- Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet Client and Company deliverables
- Elevate recommendations to the rope access manager as to the engagement, performance, remuneration and termination of personnel within the team
- Act as an escalation point for site related employee relations and industrial relation maters to ensure all Company Policy and Procedures are adhered to across the rope access team
- Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives within team which support business' continuous improvement
- Drive business development activities through engaging and maintaining Client relationships and key prospect development
- Register and file all relevant documentation in accordance with the Company approved procedures
- Provide input to the preparation of contract scope of works and commercial tender reviews
- Contribute to junior team member's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development
- Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.

About You
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Construction White Card
- Relevant Australian recognised trade qualification
- Level 1-3 IRATA Certificate (valid) and logbook of work within last six months
- Australian Driver's Licence (C Class)
- Working at Heights Certificate (valid)
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces Certificate (valid)
- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Extensive knowledge in advanced rigging and rescue techniques
- Experience supervising rope access teams
- Experience as a Rope Access Superintendent
- Schedule 26 compliant
- Strong communication skills, work ethic and a positive attitude
