McDermott Aviation is Australia's largest privately owned Heli-Aviation company, operating from bases across Australian, Europe and the USA and home to the world's largest fleet of the most powerful, single engine, twin bladed helicopter – the Bell 214B. We provide Aerial Fire Fighting, Bio Security, Agricultural and Helicopter lifting services and support.

The Role

Working as part of the Wacol Ground Crew Team, you will support our operations to deliver a range of aerial applications through the safe and efficient delivery, transfer and loading of chemical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Safe and Reliable ground support to our aircraft, delivering and loading substances for specific applications.
  • Mix and load various substances, both liquid and solid, into aircraft to support specific activity.
  • Perform general day-to-day maintenance of the airbase/aircraft and vehicles.
  • Perform general shed and yard work required to maintain effective operations.
  • Perform work using safe practices and observe WHS requirements at all time.

About You:

  • A valid driver's licence and an unrestricted HR & DG licence preferred.
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • The ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • The ability to communicate proficiently and professionally
  • Be motivated to perform in a disciplined and busy aviation environment
  • Be industrious, proactive, and inspired to be part of a growing operation

Whilst experience in loading is desirable, it is not essential. Full on-the-job training will be provided for all other duties. McDermott Aviation will also support the application for job specific licenses.
