About the role

The Sustainable Streets Officer is responsible for the strategic development and day-to day management and coordination of Council's community Verge garden and Adopt-a-Spot program. The Living Streets program encourages and facilitates residents to do planting and ongoing maintenance on Council owned verges, in parks and other lands with approval.

Remuneration

$86, $104, % Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or significant on-ground experience in horticulture, bush regeneration, landscape or other relevant field.

• Knowledge and experience working with native plants of the Sydney region

• Proven ability to design and implement community environmental projects

• Knowledge of operational issues associated with integrating urban ecology and greening with streetscape management.

• Strong communication (written and verbal) and conflict resolution skills
