About the role

Claymill Construction Services Pty Ltd is seeking an exceptional Assistant Project Manager to join our highly skilled team. In this full-time position based in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Queensland, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of construction projects from start to finish. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the wider project management team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects

  • Participate in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules and budgets

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve any issues or risks

  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

  • Support the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, forecasts and variations

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures

  • Able to work in areas of estimating, project management, contract administration and site management.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar assistant project management or any construction discipline

  • Good understanding of construction processes, methodologies and project management principles

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships

  • Proficient in the use of the office suite

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver projects successfully

  • Relevant tertiary qualification an advanced but it essential
