Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Cessnock Kids Preschool and Early Learning Centre is a beautiful, custom-fitted Early Childhood Education and Care Service catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, right in the heart of Cessnock.

We are proudly independently owned and family run, with a strong commitment to collaborative leadership and management. With over 40 years experience in Early Childhood Education and Care our Management Team holds a wealth of knowledge in designing the ultimate environments and leading programs for children's learning, leisure and fun.

We are passionate about providing excellence in early childhood care and education in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment in which children are fostered to become happy individuals that can positively contribute to their community and the greater society.

At Cessnock Kids we believe in nurturing both children and Educators. We are offering an exciting traineeship opportunity for a passionate, motivated person who is ready to begin their career with working with children (Certificate III in Education and Care). This is a fulltime position Monday to Friday and requires a commitment to study and reliable, regular work attendance.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Willingness to learn and grow in the field of early childhood education and care

  • Comittment and ability to study independently

  • A positive attitude and a love for working with children

  • Working With Children Check

  • Drivers Licence

  • Right to work in Australia

  • 18 years of age or over (mature applications welcome)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of a high-quality educational program for children

  • Support the daily routines and activities within the centre

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training
