Job Description

The Role :

The General Maintenance and Gardener Labourer is responsible for assisting in maintaining the external and internal environment of Mercy Connect facilities. This includes performing groundskeeping, general maintenance, and supporting maintenance staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming physical environment across sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine gardening and groundskeeping tasks
  • Supporting general repairs and maintenance activities
  • Assisting with seasonal landscaping and waste management
  • Ensuring safety standards and reporting hazards appropriately
  • Collaborating positively with team members and site staff

About You :

  • Has a willingness to work outdoors and in a physically demanding role
  • Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Holds a valid driver's license and has (or can obtain) NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Has experience in gardening, landscaping or general maintenance
  • Communicates effectively and works well in a team
Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and/or Experience :

  • Experience in gardening, landscaping, or general maintenance.
  • Ability to perform manual labour and use relevant equipment safely.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication skills.
