The Perth ENT Centre team is a private Ear Nose Throat Specialist practice based in Subiaco and Karrinyup.

We pride ourselves in providing friendly professional care to our adult and paediatric patients while ensuring our practice has a healthy and enjoyable workplace culture.

We are currently looking for an exceptional Medical Receptionist to join our casual pool starting immediately.

Position would suit a nursing student or experienced medical receptionist who is able to work in a fast paced environment with high levels of accuracy. This position will assist with leave cover and workflow demands within the practice, therefore no set day or hours are allocated. Apart from last minute leave cover, rostering is scheduled in advance over a 4 weekly cycle.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting patients and general reception duties
  • Appointment bookings, data entry, reviewing upcoming clinics and ensuring all patient records are in order before the day of clinic, appointment reminders, patient emails and handling phone inquiries
  • Invoicing and receipting payments and a good understanding of Medicare requirements
  • Scope of duties will vary depending on candidates level of experience
  • Ability to travel by own motor vehicle between Subiaco, or Karrinyup essential
  • Ability to work on a flexible roster as required by the Practice between Monday to Friday and have availability to work a roster anywhere between 7am to 6pm depending on practice need.
  • Ability to run a doctors clinic to support or provide leave cover to practice secretaries is highly desirable but not essential.

  • A strong desire to provide a high level of service to our patients
  • Must be a team player with exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrate you are proactive with strong time management skills along with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently
  • Attention to detail when processing patient information and patient accounts
  • Must be able to multi skill and work under pressure
  • Must have a high level of competency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Familiarity with Genie or other practice software highly desirable, not essential.
