About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Back To Sleep as a Warehouse 2IC in our Mulgrave, VIC warehouse. As the Warehouse 2IC, you will play a key role in supporting the Warehouse Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our busy warehouse operations. This is a full-time position that will see you work closely with our team to ensure smooth, efficient and safe warehouse processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in leading, motivating and directing a team of approximately 6-8 warehouse operatives
  • Coordinate the processing of incoming goods and outgoing deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality control within the warehouse
  • Provide hands-on support with warehouse duties as required to meet operational demands
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity
  • Assist with the training and development of warehouse team members
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar warehouse supervisor or 2IC role
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with colleagues at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software
  • Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
