MB Hoopers Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Boilermaker to join our busy fabrication workshop in Gympie, QLD.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working on a diverse range of projects critical to the local farming and construction industries. You will be responsible for the fabrication, modification, and repair of heavy machinery components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Fabricate, weld, and assemble new components for earthmoving and farming equipment
  • Perform high-quality MIG and STICK welding on heavy-gauge steel.
  • Operate workshop machinery such as press brakes, grinders, and oxy-cutting equipment.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and workshop cleanliness.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Recognised Boilermaker Trade Qualification
  • Proven experience in heavy fabrication and welding
  • Solid understanding of structural steel principles and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Forklift license preferred
