We are currently recruiting for a Head of Projects for overhead lines to be based in Perth for our client. Our client is a leading organisation within the Transmission & Distribution sector, delivering major overhead line projects across Australia.

This role will be responsible for setting delivery standards, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical and commercial standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the overhead lines project portfolio.
  • Manage a team of Project Managers delivering various lines related projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all project activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes, engineering practices, and construction methodologies.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and project reporting to ensure predictable and commercially successful outcomes.
  • Provide technical oversight on transmission line engineering, construction techniques, foundations, conductor installation, and associated systems.
  • Lead project governance, audits, reviews, and performance assessments to maintain delivery excellence.
  • Support resource planning, capability development, and workforce growth across the project division.

Required Experience

  • Experience delivering Transmission & Distribution projects, with significant experience in overhead line construction.
  • Proven leadership experience in roles such as Program Manager, Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or similar.
  • Strong background managing large, multi-disciplinary project teams and multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen including contract management, financial performance, variations, and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
