About the Role:
The firm's highly regarded Corporate and Commercial Advisory team is seeking a
Senior Associate
or Partner
to join their dynamic Sydney office. You'll be joining a high-performing, approachable team that values personal and professional growth. You'll take ownership of matters, mentor junior lawyers, and work closely with Principals across a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters. The team is committed to delivering practical, high-quality legal advice with a commercial mindset. Key areas of focus include:
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A);
- Corporate governance;
- Capital raising and foreign investment;
- IP, licensing, and digital law;
- Private advisory and taxation;
- Charities & not-for-profits; and
- Project finance and aged care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and advising on complex M&A transactions and structuring;
- Drafting key commercial documents, including shareholder and service agreements;
- Providing tailored legal and strategic advice across multiple sectors;
- Managing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives;
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team leadership; and
- Working collaboratively with other practice areas nationally.
About You:
- A minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law;
- Strong commercial awareness and client-centric approach;
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
- Experience managing files and relationships autonomously;
- Prior exposure to business development or practice growth (highly regarded); and
- Commerce or accounting qualifications (advantageous, but not essential).
