APS6 Senior Assessors – Regulatory Aged Care Reform
Location: Most major Australian capital cities
12 month Labour Hire Contracts
Multiple positions
We are currently recruiting multiple APS6 Senior Assessors on behalf of our client — a key government agency leading major reform in the aged care sector.
These 12-month labour hire roles present an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the new Aged Care Act, supporting regulatory compliance, provider registration and risk assessment processes.
If you have experience in compliance, policy or assessment within government or regulated industries — and are passionate about improving outcomes for older Australians — we encourage you to apply.
As a Senior Assessor, you will work within the newly established Provider Registrations section, assessing new and existing providers, applying registration conditions and ensuring compliance under the new Aged Care Act.
Using case management systems to track and document progress, you will either lead a team or work collaboratively within a team to ensure timely, high-quality assessments and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members in a collaborative learning environment.
- Analyse complex information to identify risks, ensure compliance with new legislation and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Use case management systems to track and document assessments and prepare high-quality reports and risk analyses.
- Manage workloads to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Allocate and monitor tasks across your team, ensuring all outcomes are delivered within required timeframes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in assessment processes, tools and guidance materials.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders including applicants, aged care providers, government departments and the public.
- Collaborate across business areas and contribute to the development of frameworks, strategies and procedures.
- Complete mandatory training and adapt to the evolving demands of the regulatory environment.
- Standard working hours apply (7.5 hours per day).
Who we're looking for:
- A strong leader with excellent coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Experienced in regulatory, compliance or aged care assessment environments.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret legislation and assess compliance risks.
- Skilled in communication and stakeholder engagement, both written and verbal.
- Able to manage competing priorities and high workloads with accuracy and professionalism.
Why You Should Apply:
This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved in nationwide aged care reform during a critical period of legislative change. You'll be contributing to better outcomes for older Australians while working in a supportive, forward-thinking team environment.
- Flexible working arrangements
- Engage in work that directly contributes to public good
- Professional development opportunities
- Work from any major Australian capital city
If you're passionate about making a difference and have the experience to match, we want to hear from you.
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen.
