Assistant Educator – Runaway Bay

We are a privately owned early learning centre, nestled in a hidden nook of Runaway Bay. Our centre is more than just a workplace – it's a community where educators, children, and families grow together. We are looking for a passionate Assistant Educator to join our dedicated team and help us deliver high-quality education and care.

About the Role

Are you an educator who inspires children by creating both structured and spontaneous learning opportunities? Do you have a passion for tapping into children's natural curiosity and supporting their enthusiasm for learning?

In this role, you will work alongside a team of experienced educators to provide an engaging program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a recognised Early Childhood Education qualification (Certificate III or Diploma)
  • Hold relevant and current Child Protection training/qualifications
  • Be passionate about working with children and making a positive difference
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Show experience or willingness to learn planning, programming, and observations
  • Have knowledge of EYLF, NQS, Regulations and Laws
  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Be open to contributing ideas and working collaboratively within the team
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and the ECA Code of Ethics
  • Demonstrate a professional and positive work ethic
  • Hold a current Blue Card and Education and Care First Aid (including asthma and anaphylaxis training)

  • Actively supervise and engage children in meaningful experiences
  • Support delivery of an inclusive, high-quality learning program
  • Build strong relationships with families and the community
  • Contribute to planning, evaluating, and record-keeping
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training
