About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team at East Geelong's Quality Butcher for full-time hours Monday – Friday, no weekends and ideally available for an immediate start.

If you are someone who is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and has a passion for the trade providing quality meats and ensuring satisfaction of our customers with every purchase.

What to expect

  • The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a range of duties including breaking & boning whole carcasses of Beef, Pork and Lamb for retail sale including cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of meats according to customer specifications
  • Providing excellent customer service and advice on meat selection and preparation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment by ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene

What we're looking for

  • Formal butchery qualifications or equivalent experience in a butchery role
  • Strong knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide knowledgeable advice
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
