About the Business Unit:

The Justice Officer Team Leader position is primarily based at the Morwell Justice Service Centre, with oversight of the Justice Officer team across the Gippsland region. Travel to Warragul, Wonthaggi, Sale and Bairnsdale will be required at times to ensure the support for the wider region.

About the Role:

The Justice Officer Team Leader leads a team of Justice Officers at the Justice Service Centres, and is responsible for the efficient delivery of administration, operational support and reception services in a team environment.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Supervising a team of administrative staff to ensure effective delivery of operational support, administrative and client services, including routine supervision, performance planning, training needs analysis and mentoring as appropriate
  • Providing and demonstrating positive leadership and direction in a high-capacity front counter environment, ensuring that the level of service and hospitality exhibited towards the Department's clients and fellow employees, are consistently delivered at the highest level of professionalism, & customer service excellence
  • Managing and co-ordinating a range of administrative business functions and projects n line with agreed regional business plans.

About You:

As our ideal candidate for this role, you will possess:

  • Well-developed computer literacy
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations
  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary service delivery team would be advantageous.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A current Victorian driver's licence is desirable.
