Automotive Electrician

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Electrician to join our growing team in a busy metal fabrication workshop. This is a full-time, ongoing role offering secure employment and variety in your day-to-day work.

WF Fabrications is a metal fabrication business located in Bendigo, Victoria. We specialise in custom aluminium trays and canopies, along with mining and fleet maintenance and general fabrication.

About the role

This role is hands-on and diverse. While your focus will be on automotive electrical work, you'll also take part in a range of workshop activities to support our projects.

Tasks may include:

• Wiring and electrical fit-outs for vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose and repair wiring, lighting, switches, and control systems
• Reading wiring diagrams and following technical instructions accurately
• Assisting with fabrication projects where required
• Workshop duties such as spray painting, fitting of accessories and general metal fabrication
• Working alongside a supportive team to deliver high-quality results

About you

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can step confidently into a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in automotive electrical work, but a formal qualification is not mandatory
• Willing to learn and contribute across different areas of the business
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• A current manual drivers licence and own transport
• A Forklift Licence is an advantage
• Clear understanding of OH&S requirements
