This position is classified as a PACS Band 5 ($78,485 - $85,493 p.a pro rata) under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration system.

What's On Offer
A rare opportunity has been created for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join the Community Services and Partnerships team at the City of Kwinana. You will lead a team of Casual Youth Officers and facilitate the successful day-to-day delivery of the Arclight Initiative through ensuring school readiness, mentoring, role modelling, life skills, planning, facilitation, 1:1 support, conflict resolution and transport for vulnerable young people between 12 and 15 years of age.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience in leading a team.
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable or 'at-risk' young people utilising a 'trauma informed' approach.
- Previous experience in youth program planning, development and delivery, youth centre drop-in supervision, or a similar role.
- Well-developed working knowledge of social issues that impact young people, as well as both Indigenous and CaLD culture, and related impacts for young people in urban settings.
- Sound analytical, report writing, data collection and computer literacy skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
- Qualification in youth work or similar and/or substantial experience in a related field.
- Driver's Licence and willingness to obtain Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, Provide First Aid Certificate and work after hours and weekends
