We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction company in Sydney's fitout and refurbishment space, known for delivering high-quality projects ranging from $5 million to $30 million. We're looking for a highly skilled Lead Estimator to join their team and take charge of the estimating function on a variety of exciting projects.

About the Role:

As the Lead Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the estimating process from concept to completion, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for high-value fitout and refurbishment projects. You'll work closely with the pre-construction and project teams to deliver winning tenders and support the continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for fitout and refurbishment projects
  • Analyse plans, specifications, and contracts to understand project scope and requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
  • Present cost estimates and strategies to senior management and project teams
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to provide strategic pricing insights
  • Assist in bid preparation, tender documentation, and post-tender negotiations

About You:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating within the fitout/refurbishment sector
  • Proven ability to estimate and manage projects valued between $5 million and $30 million
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools
