About the role

Ekad Earthmoving is seeking an experienced General Hire Excavator Operator to join our team in Reedy Creek, Queensland on a part-time basis. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our construction projects, leveraging your skills and expertise to operate heavy machinery with precision and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely and proficiently operate,  excavators 1.7 ton to 8 ton & Posi-tracks & Bobcats & Tip Trucks on general hire in and around the Gold Coast, Brisbane & northern NSW.
  • Carry out various earthmoving tasks such as digging Pools, General Hire, Site excavations, Slab preps, and Site clean-ups.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Collaborate with the construction team to execute project plans and meet deadlines
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure the smooth coordination of operations

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an Excavator Operator general hire, in the construction industry
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of excavators, Posi-Tracks & Bobcats.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions
  • MUST HAVE A HR driver's license and relevant certificates and tickets
  • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF GENERAL HIRE EXPERIENCE
