The role:

We're offering a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2-3 years of post-qualification experience to join APP Group as a Finance / Project Analyst on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about projects and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

At APP, our Infrastructure Division is a national team of specialists delivering state-significant projects such as the Sydney Gateway, Western Harbour Tunnel, Melbourne's West Gate Tunnel, and Brisbane's Cross River Rail. You'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of Australia's infrastructure.

Your Impact

Working closely with our Infrastructure Finance Business Partner and Project Leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in:

  • Capturing and reporting on project financials
  • Acting as the key liaison between project teams and Finance
  • Analysing financial data and integrating it with broader business accounting
  • Supporting a major internal systems migration project, contributing to data accuracy and process improvement tasks under tight deadlines

This is a dynamic and varied role that will see you working across multiple projects, processing large volumes of information, and helping to refine the tools and systems that support our operations. Your strong Excel skills and analytical mindset will be essential.

About You

You're someone who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment and is excited by the opportunity to contribute to high-impact infrastructure projects. You bring:

  • A degree in Finance, Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2-3 years' experience in project/engineering administration or within a finance team
  • A passion for business administration, finance, data and systems — and you're confident in Excel
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail
