About the Role

As a
Youth Support Worker
at Marakuda, you'll work directly with young people to:

  • Foster personal growth, independence, and social participation
  • Support daily living activities and community engagement
  • Build trusting, professional relationships
  • Collaborate with families, guardians, and other support professionals
  • Apply SRV principles in every interaction — helping young people gain valued roles, confidence, and identity

This is a hands-on role that requires empathy, initiative, and a genuine commitment to inclusion via innovation.

About You

You are:

  • Deeply passionate about supporting young people to live fulfilling lives
  • Committed to person-centred and SRV-informed practice
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional
  • A great communicator, innovator and team player focused on bringing excitement into peoples lives

Essential:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting young people with disabilities, trauma, or behavioural challenges
  • Understanding of the SRV framework or willingness to undertake training(Full training would be provided)
