ShareSorted is Australia's fastest-growing provider of co-living accommodation, managing over 3,000 furnished rooms across Sydney. We're redefining rental management with smarter systems, better service, and full transparency. We're now looking for a detail-oriented finance officer to manage our trust accounting and supplier payments with speed, accuracy, and full compliance.

The Role

We're seeking a Trust Accounts & Finance Officer to handle end-to-end trust receipting, bond administration, and accounts payable functions.

You'll be trusted with:

  • Reconciliation of trust accounts daily via PropertyMe, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies investigated.
  • Daily disbursement of funds from trust accounts in compliance with NSW Fair Trading regulations
  • Managing bond & security deposit lodgements and refunds.
  • Review and Accurately process a high volume of supplier invoices e.g. cleaners, trades, utilities, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and resolve unknown or unallocated funds, ensuring they are correctly attributed.
  • Allocating excess utility charges and invoices to occupants
  • Ensuring purchasing and payments are accurate, on time, and well-documented
  • Reconciling charges across PropertyMe.
  • Communicating with internal teams, suppliers and occupants regarding payment or trust matters
  • Supporting trust account compliance, audit prep, and monthly reconciliation reviews
  • Responsible for managing and auditing supplier accounts to ensure all charges are accurate, properly allocated, and supported by valid documentation.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in real estate trust accounting, accounts payable or bookkeeping
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting regulations and best practices in NSW
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve transaction anomalies
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-property environment
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments, particularly operations and leasing, and vendors
  • Experience with PropertyMe, Console, PropertyTree, or similar real estate accounting systems
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
  • Qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field is highly regarded
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial management
  • Certificate of Registration (or willing to obtain it)
  • Comfortable managing invoices, verifying charges, and performing purchasing duties
