SENIOR FUND ACCOUNTANT

Our team at Unity Fund Services is expanding and we are searching for Senior Fund Accountant, who want to redefine fund administration. Due to the rapid growth and continued ramp-up in existing and upcoming new client work, we are very excited about our new Senior Fund Accountant roles that we have available in our teams.

We are building our team with proactive, analytical thinkers who approach problem solving with a positive attitude.  We are searching for Senior Fund Accountants who have the ability to build strong rapport with their peers and also are able to be trusted advisers to our clients.

The role will see you assume responsibility for a number of funds including:

• real estate funds
• infrastructure funds
• credit funds
• fund of funds
• private equity

Senior Fund Accountant tasks Day to Day responsibilities include:

• Ensure all client deliverables are in line with service agreements;
• Maintenance of accounting records including entering transactions into Reckon (experience helpful but not essential) accounting software;
• Assisting the managers with the daily oversight of a team of fund accountants;
• Tax compliance including distribution calculations and BAS returns;
• Liaison with external auditors and service providers;
• Preparation of annual Financial Statements; and
• Preparation of periodical management reporting packs.

Further requirements to apply

• 3-5 years of general accounting experience in finance industry.
• Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or finance (CPA/CA qualified or willingness to study CPA/CA preferred)
• With relevant experience in management and statutory reporting – E.g. Investment Management Report and General Purpose Financial Statement.
• Experience in accounting for property funds
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Understand the importance of confidentiality
• Effective stake holder management
• A team player and also able to work independently
• Audit experience with the big 4 will be an advantage
