Andersens Moree is looking for a full-time store manager to work with our existing small team. The business is owned by a husband and wife team who work part-time in the business, together with a part-time administration/sales staff member and we're looking for someone to take up and oversee day to day operations.

We're looking for someone who truly enjoys welcoming customers as they walk into the store and someone who has a bit of fun and confidence about them, as they help customers select floor and window coverings to suit their needs.

We're looking for country town values – someone who is always honest, kind to people, quick to smile and just wants to help local people solve their problems.

If you're not confident to learn a new computer program, then this isn't the job for you. However, anyone who is pretty decent with computers will easily learn our Netsuite job management program and plenty of training and ongoing support is given.

Some of the roles in this position:

  • Greeting and chatting with customers in our showroom

  • Making sure all customers are always given superb customer service

  • Being solutions focused for customers

  • Following up on orders and quotes

  • Phoning to confirm job start dates and location of stock

  • Phoning customers to confirm installation bookings

  • Booking in measures/quotes

  • Doing some of the on-location measure-ups for customers to determine the job dimensions and work required (lots of assistance provided to learn)

Desired skills and experience for this position.

  • Present themselves professionally and be well spoken

  • Great customer service

  • Previous experience in a role in retail, sales, customer service or admin

  • Motivated with a can-do attitude

  • Be able to talk to anyone and guide people, help clients make decisions for their home

  • A quick learner

  • Willing to put extra work in or go the extra mile for our business and our clients

  • Be able to build relationships with clients and work unsupervised

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Able to work some Saturday mornings (store is not currently open any weekends, but in the future the team will be on a roster to cover Saturday mornings)
