Scenic World is seeking a dynamic & experienced Retail Manager to lead our Retail Team in delivering a world-class retail experience to our guests. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic thinking, operational excellence & a love for retail in a fast-paced tourism environment.

About the Role

As our Retail Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail spaces, ensuring exceptional customer service, engaging visual merchandising & a product range that delights & inspires. You will lead & mentor our Retail team leader & team members, driving performance, engagement & continuous improvement.

You will also play a key role in shaping Scenic World's retail strategy, collaborating with procurement, marketing & operations to ensure our offerings evolve with customer needs & business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & manage the Retail Team, including rostering, training, performance management & team development.
  • Drive sales & meet financial targets through effective merchandising & product selection.
  • Analyse sales data to optimise product performance & manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager on product development, pricing & supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS standards & act as Chief Fire Warden when required.
  • Contribute to business and workforce planning & continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in retail management, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a retail management role, ideally in tourism or a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership & people management skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse sales data & make strategic decisions.
  • Experience in visual merchandising & inventory control.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • A positive, adaptable & self-motivated approach to work.
