Intamed are proud to be working alongside multiple medical centres in Remote WA looking for locum VR GP's to join the team for locum blocks of 2-4 weeks with locum positions available immediately until the end of the year.

You will play an integral part in delivering culturally appropriate, high quality services to local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The focus is on supporting Aboriginal communities in developing their own solutions to living long healthy lives; strengthening culture; and regaining their spirit.

Dates: Throughout Nov, Dec and 2026

Rates: $2100 per day (on call 24/7 whilst in the community, but on call is managed by RANs, AHW and would only call the GP if needed)

Clinic hours: Mon -Fri, 8am to 4:30pm (with 1 hour lunch break, clinic is closed 12pm-1pm)

Qualifications

  • Medical degree and General Practitioner certification
  • GP registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
