**Overview**:
Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum District Medical Officer for the following opportunity:
**Locum District Medical Officer GP/ED**
In this position, you will work in the Emergency Department and/or GP clinics, with a roster of 1:3. Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide outreach clinics to remote communities. You will have the chance to practice a wide range of clinical skills in Indigenous health while being supported by a collaborative team.
**Pay Rate**:$2,700 per day.
**Date Range**:28 Aug - ongoing
GP Clinics, Emergency Department & 1:3 on call roster
**Travel/Accommodation**: flights, car and accommodation provided.
Minimum requirement of 2 weeks
Shorter locums may be considered for recurring doctors from Western Australia
**Requirements**:
- Extensive generalist experience with a strong background in emergency department and primary healthcare
- Knowledge and skills in rural remote settings, particularly in Aboriginal health issues
- Previous experience in a rural hospital setting
**Location**:
Situated on the tidal flats at the edge of the King Sound, Derby boasts the highest tidal range of any port in Australia. It serves as the main access point to the breathtaking Gibb River Road, renowned for its spectacular gorges. Derby has a welcoming, laid-back outback character. Derby Health Service offers 22 acute care beds and 4 maternity beds.
**Selection Criteria**:
To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA & Current ASL2 (or equivalent - “REST/ RESP”).
